Originally constructed as a Sikorsky manufacturing facility, and operating as a GKN facility since 1998, GKN Aerospace Alabama specializes in, and is recognized as an industry leader in, the design, testing, manufacturing and assembly of a diverse range of advanced composite structures for numerous programs across Civil, Defense and Engine business lines.

GKN Aerospace Alabama endeavors to provide compliant and conforming products on time to our Customers. This effort is supported via the establishment and maintenance of data-driven, performance-based, symbiotic partnerships with our supply base, including working together with our Suppliers to continuously improve their collective ability to achieve greater levels of compliance, risk mitigation and overall performance.

El Cajon manufactures lightweight structures for high performance aerospace applications, specializing in lightweight titanium and aluminium alloy engine components including rings, modules, ducts and compressor cases. GKN Aerospace - El Cajon also repairs fan blades and cases for jet engines.

GKN Aerospace - Monitor has distinguished itself as a premier supplier of complex titanium and aluminum airframe components and assemblies serving commercial and defense customers world wide for over 60 years. Monitor has extensive manufacturing expertise as well as an experienced staff to offer a full array of integration, manufacturing and assembly capabilities. Monitor is housed in a 243,000 square foot, climate controlled building and has over 325 employees.

Located near Hartford, Connecticut, GKN Aerospace Newington specializes in machining of large components such as fan cases for aircraft engines and gas turbines. We produce components for commercial and military aircraft engines, including fan cases, the largest components that house the front section of the aircraft engine. We are a supplier to major aircraft engine manufacturers such as Pratt & Whitney and General Electric as well as to other component manufacturers, including MTU and our parent company GKN Aerospace.

GKN Aerospace Precision Machining, Inc. has been at aviation’s epicenter since 1966. Precision Machining is an expert in complex machining of key metallic structures and large assemblies on major aircraft programs today, including large wing skins and control surfaces, for Commercial, General Aviation and DoD platforms.

GKN Aerospace is responsible for producing the section 41 floor module for Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner. The floor module is delivered to Spirit AeroSystems, from our Precision Machining site at Wellington, Kansas. This module is an integrated structure including over 26,000 components including various systems components.

This complex machining and assembly experience provides us with the exposure to technologies and processes that allow us to produce high performance products at the lowest cost and lowest risk. GKN Aerospace Precision Machining, Inc. is a customer focused and quality driven organization which aggressively pursued and obtained an AS9100: Rev C recommendation and certification within six months of Rev C becoming effective.

GKN Aerospace Precision Machining, Inc. has 245,000 square feet of space and employs 220 people.
