GKN Aerospace in Europe

GKN Aerospace is a global business with facilities in 12 countries. A large part of GKN Aerospace’s global workforce is based in Europe, with its two largest sites situated on the European continent. Around 2,000 employees work at the engines manufacturing facility in Trollhättan, Sweden and 2,100 employees work at its multi-technology centre in Papendrecht, the Netherlands. GKN Aerospace also has three of its global technology centres in Europe, in Bristol, in the UK; in Trollhättan in Sweden; and in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands. 

GKN Aerospace has made record investments in research and development projects across Europe to accelerate sustainable aviation.

    GKN Aerospace in Americas

    America is the world’s largest aerospace market and GKN Aerospace has a large part of its global manufacturing facilities across the region.

    In total, we have 15 manufacturing sites across the United States and Mexico. These sites produce world-leading aerostructures, engine systems and special technologies for some of the world’s most advanced civil and military aircraft platforms. GKN Aerospace also has an additive manufacturing centre of excellence in Fort Worth, Texas.

    In the last decade, GKN Aerospace has made record investments in research and development projects across the United States.

    GKN Aerospace in Asia Pacific

    By 2035, Asia will be the largest aerospace market, with around 40% of aircraft demand predicted to come from the region.

    Today GKN Aerospace has manufacturing facilities in four Asian countries, China, India, Turkey and Malaysia. Recent expansions include a new engine systems facility in Malaysia, a wiring plant in India, an aerostructures joint venture in China and a transparencies facility in China. In total, around 10% of GKN Aerospace’s employees are based in our Asia operations and this is set to grow as we expand our regional footprint in line with the market and our customers’ requirements.
