GKN Aerospace delivers complex, flight critical additively manufactured components to the highest certification standards. Our AM parts are already flying on some of the world’s most advanced aircraft and engines. This includes the fan case mount ring for the Pratt & Whitney GTF engines powering the Airbus A220 and Embraer E2, as well as critical components for the F 35 fighter jet. By optimizing design and performance through additive manufacturing, we deliver lighter, stronger, and more efficient parts to our customers, reducing both material waste and fuel burn.

    GKN Aerospace’s additive manufacturing facilities are advanced centres of excellence dedicated to developing and industrialising next‑generation aerospace components. These sites, located in key hubs such as Trollhättan, Kongsberg, Bristol, Fort Worth, San Diego, Newington and Johor focus on producing large, complex and high‑performance parts using cutting‑edge additive fabrication techniques. Supported by our advanced laser systems company, GKN Aerospace Permanova in Mölndal (Gothenburg), we vertically integrate proprietary AM machine supply and tool integration directly into our production ecosystem.
