GKN Aerospace’s Trollhättan facility in Sweden is a global centre of excellence for engine systems, with a long heritage in developing and manufacturing advanced components for aircraft engines and space propulsion. The site specialises in key engine structures such as intermediate cases, compressor exhaust cases, turbines and rocket nozzles, supplying technologies used in both civil and military aerospace programmes.
Hallstahammar (GAIC), Sweden
GKN Aerospace’s advanced casting house plays a vital role in our hybrid manufacturing approach. By combining traditionally cast structures with additively developed components through high-precision welding, the site enables advanced fabrication. This specialized process allows us to sectorize large, complex applications, significantly reducing raw material requirements while maintaining Tier-1 aerospace performance.
Kongsberg - Norway
GKN Aerospace’s Kongsberg facility in Norway is a centre of excellence for advanced engine components, specialising in the development and manufacture of high‑precision parts such as cases, shafts and vanes for leading global aerospace programmes.
Kongsberg is also an important hub for innovation, with ongoing investments in additive manufacturing to industrialise next‑generation, more sustainable production technologies for future aerospace applications.

GKN Aerospace’s Bristol (Filton) facility in the UK is a major hub for advanced aerostructures and innovation. It combines large‑scale manufacturing of wing components and structural assemblies for leading aircraft programmes with a state‑of‑the‑art Global Technology Centre focused on research and development.

Newington - USA
GKN Aerospace’s Newington facility in Connecticut, USA, is a key site for scaling additive manufacturing into full industrial production. The facility has been expanded to include a dedicated production line for additively manufactured engine components, including the Fan Case Mount Ring (FCMR) used in Pratt & Whitney geared turbofan engines.
By combining additive fabrication with advanced machining and finishing capabilities, the site helps bring flight‑critical components into high‑rate serial production.
