Responsible Business
Our reputation is built on the quality and safety of our products and services.
Our suppliers and other business associates are integral to this, because we are dependent on them for reaching our goals. That is why we insist on the highest ethical standards from our business associates and expect them to comply with or exceed the principles of our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Working with business associates
We will only work with suppliers who hold the same high ethical standards as we do. We will act professionally when engaging or working with a supplier or other business associate, which means we follow company policies and procedures and conduct due diligence on potential suppliers.
We have implemented and enforce effective systems and controls to ensure modern slavery is not taking place anywhere in our own business or in any of our supply chains; we expect the same high standards from all of our contractors, suppliers and other business associates.
We value open communication and a strong sense of partnership ensuring suppliers are aware of an comply with our ethical standards and our Supplier Code of Conduct.
Sales Agents
We will only engage with and appoint Sales Agents in accordance with our Third Party Agent Engagement Policy and Procedures.
The Agents Summary Policy can be found in the Policies section. We currently have two Sales Agents, for our Engines business: Asia Trading (Japan) and Javed Private Limited (Pakistan). There have been no investigations involving any of these two agents in the past twelve months.
Lobbying / Contracting Politicians
GKN Aerospace is a business which has a legitimate business need to engage in policy debate and advocacy activities on subjects of legitimate concern to the Aerospace industry and key stakeholders.
We have issued internal Lobbying Guidelines to ensure that key employees and business associates are fully aware of their responsibilities and the consequences for non-compliance.
We do not contract serving politicians to provide any services to GKN Aerospace. In the internal Lobbying Guidelines this is specifically prohibited.
