Melrose strengthens Executive Team with new CHRO

Melrose Industries PLC, which operates as GKN Aerospace, has announced that Amanda Nelson will join the business as Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) on 1 January 2026.

Amanda is currently Chief People Officer at engineering and defence business QinetiQ plc, and brings 25 years’ experience in senior HR positions within both QinetiQ and BAE Systems plc.

Amanda’s leadership and significant experience within listed and multinational aerospace and defence businesses will be invaluable as Melrose delivers its growth plan in the years ahead.  

I am delighted that Amanda will be joining us in January. She has a strong track record within the aerospace and defence sector and will be a great addition to our Executive Team.
